Germany is accelerating its push into autonomous warfare. Defence startup Helsing has revealed the CA-1 Europa, a new unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) designed to operate alongside manned fighter jets.
The drone was presented as a full-scale model at Helsing’s facility in Bavaria. With its angular fuselage, V-tail configuration and stealth-inspired design, the CA-1 reflects modern drone warfare developments.
The first flight is planned for 2027. Helsing aims to deliver a scalable, AI-driven platform capable of reconnaissance, strike missions and cooperative combat operations.
As warfare evolves, systems like the CA-1 Europa could become essential in future conflicts where autonomy and speed define success.
