Footage circulating on social media reportedly points to an American military attack on an airfield in Venezuela. The videos show, among other things, Apache attack helicopters and Chinook transport helicopters. The presence of Chinooks may indicate that ground troops have also been deployed.
What exactly is going on is still unclear at this moment. There is no official confirmation yet from the United States or the Venezuelan authorities, and the authenticity of the footage has not yet been independently verified.
The situation is developing. As soon as there is more clarity or official reactions follow, this article will be updated.

A morning that shook the world awake
This morning the world was startled by reports you would normally only expect in films. The United States has carried out a targeted military attack in Venezuela. First bombardments, not a large-scale invasion, but a fast, precise operation with one clear goal: Nicolás Maduro. But we did not know that yet at the time. Only when we saw the transport helicopters on the news did we think: surely not……
According to American statements, that mission has also succeeded. Maduro, who knew he had been on the American radar for a long time, has reportedly been arrested and is now on his way to New York aboard an amphibious naval ship. There, if everything is correct, a trial awaits him that could have enormous international consequences.
Not ordinary soldiers
This operation did not involve regular troops. Everything indicates that several special forces units were deployed, with Delta Force playing a leading role. These are soldiers prepared for years for the most difficult scenarios imaginable: operating deep in hostile territory, under constant threat, with minimal room for error. Comparable to our own Korps Commandotroepen.
They do not train for classic battles, but for precision work. Think of securing a target, rapid movements, working with air support and carrying out missions where seconds make the difference. Whether you are for or against this attack, militarily experts speak of an exceptionally complex operation.
The role of the air
The US also played an important role from the air. Helicopters were used to move and evacuate troops, while military aircraft provided support and kept an overview. No fewer than 180 helicopters and aircraft were reportedly deployed. One helicopter was lost during the operation. What exactly happened is not yet known, but according to the latest information there were injuries, but no deaths.
That alone is remarkable, given the risks. Missions like this are known to be extremely dangerous, even when meticulously prepared.
Maduro knew he was a target
Perhaps the most striking detail: Maduro reportedly knew he was a target. That makes the success of the operation all the more remarkable. Security around heads of state is normally strict, especially when the threat is known. Yet the Americans seem to have managed to surprise him.
More than a military action
This attack is about much more than one person. Countries worldwide are reacting with shock, anger or concern. Some see the action as a necessary step, others as a dangerous precedent. What is certain: the relationship between the US and Venezuela has changed for good, and the consequences will be felt for a long time.
